Gary Shaffer

Gary Shaffer is one of our local birders featured in the Complement article Birders Take Flight at RVM.

A long-time resident of the Rogue Valley, Gary has traveled widely in pursuit of birds, but is now focused on the Rogue Valley. Since moving to RVM two years ago he has added eleven new species to our local checklist.

Gary has been birding for about 25 years, and honing his photographic skills for the last 15 of those. The gallery of pictures below is testimony to both his birding and his photographic skills. Gary uses a Canon R5 mirrorless camera with a Canon RF100-500mm lens.
